0.5l bottle, thanks to Fil I reckon! Lovely copper body, off-white head. Citric, herbal hoppy aroma. Soft, lean taste, dry floral, bit herbal and soapy notes, very light bitterness. Solid, but the soapiness didn't help it.

On tap at Hopfengarten Bamberg. Hazy dark gold colour lasting white head. A little herbal on the aroma. Rest of beer is more or less a helles. Some interesting undercurrent. As I say some herb on aroma. Low carbonation easy to drink. Light finish. OK.

On tap at Hopfengarten Bamberg. Cloudy gold orange colour lasting off white head. Banana flavour. Banana and herby hop aroma. It's a Banana led weizen. Some bitterness on the finish. Some fullness in the mouth ok basically. Tasty enough.

On tap at Hopfengarten Bamberg St Andrea's bar. Clear pale brown colour lasting beige head. Its an odd rauch. Mostly herbs. Light if any smoke. Light smoke is there no doubt. But it's mostly a herb led beer. I mean have I had a beer like this? No. Is it badly brewed no. No faults. So now you het to the brewers intentions. It's a light smoke and a good base beer with herbs. Not traditional rauch. Oregano herb? It's like a malty oregano Light smoke beer. Odd. But not horrible.

Bottle at home, koszi Kini!! Clear deep golden pour, thicc white head. Nose is malty, grassy. Taste is moderately dusty, malty with a subtle but detectable bitterness that’s just enough to balance the malts and to last into the finish too. Light, crisp body, lively carbonation, easy to drink.

Sample from bottle at Remko's bierproefavond 20dec2024. As Hopfengarten Hopfen Seidla Rotbier. Didn't take notes, preferred the nice company. Remember the hazy reddish amber color, nice taste of malt, some caramel and bread. Nice one, nothing very special but definitely brewed with a lot of German craftmanship.

Bottle from Hopfengarten Bamberg and drunk at home. Hazy dirty gold colour thin white head . Gherkin on aroma Again never touch extra flavour without being out of balance. If you want a beer that, tastes of gherkin, then this is your beer.

Bottle from Hopfengarten Bamberg and drunk at home . Slight haze dirty pale gold colour lasting white head. Really intense lemon. But not sour or overly acidic. Lovely lemon perfume. Unlike any other lemon beer i have had. I mean it works. Never soapy. Some lemon perfume. Really quite different. On draft at the Italian outlet in town. The base beer continues to be outstanding. The lemon flavour comes through more. It's genuinely lovely. The softness of the carbonation. Just so balanced. Some sour lemon some sweet lemon curd flavour. It's good.

Bottle from the brewery shop Bamberg and drunk at home. Clear mid brown colour lasting beige head. Solid malty aroma. Bready flavour. A little light. Some sting to the hop. It's fine. Easy going. Just a little light.

Bottle at Hopfengarten Bamberg. Brown beer. It has big fruity chili and then a big burn on the finish. Chocolate from the malts. Then real good chili fruit and a finishing burn that is intense. A hell of an experience made me sweat.
