Description
Pössneck is a city with a rich brewing tradition. In the 16th century, the beer was exported to cities such as Weimar. The brewery 'bei der Rosenmühle' was built between 1863 and 1866. In 1895 Richard Wagner became the full owner of the brewery. The Wagner family ran the brewery until 1950 when it was nationalized.
After the fall of the Berlin Wall, the great-grandson Nikolaus Wagner of the founder Richard Wagner was able to take over the Pößneck brewery again as manager and continue the family tradition, which has now lasted 130 years.

bottle, courtesy of pivnizub. Deep brown, almost black, beige head. Aroma of roasted malts dominates. Light- to medium-bodied, malty with loads of roasty flavours, caramel, shy coffee, chocolate... Dark delight, not too dry, not too sweet - almost perfectly balanced.
