Bottle picked up from Appel Getränkemarkt, Moosburg and consumed at home Wednesday 1st June 2022 listening to Marc Riley on 6 Music and cooking Parppadelle will Mushrooms Bacon and Crème Fraîche from the Simply Raymond cookbook. Pours mid/dark reddish amber with an off white head. I assumed that this was the regular 9 month whisky barrel aged version but after a while realised that I wasn't getting much whisky only to note that this was the Port and Madeira version. Plenty of vanilla, chewy malts, subtle BA, a little caramel, not at all boozy in fact a pleasant beer, however 750ml on my own was a bit greedy.

Man springt vom 8.

0.5 l bottle at Valhalla Craft Beer Viking Metal Bar, Zagreb. Hazy orange, small off-white head. Aroma is spicy phenolic with a nice yeasty, estery fruity balance, there is banana and apricot, bread and some caramel. Medium body, a bit heavy, moderate carbonation. Balanced malty sweetness, spicy element prevails. Dry finish. Well done.
