bottle from Rapp. Clear golden colour, large white head, malty nose. Full-bodied, malty, hints of honey, slightly hoppy. The hops support the intensive maltiness very well and add a herbal accent. Good!

bottle, straight from the brewery’s delivery lorry. Clear golden colour, large white head. Malty, slightly bready with some herbal hop flavours. Hints of honey. Clean and not boring at all.

bottle from their Heimgetränkedienst, or is it Getränkeheimdienst? Anyway, straight from their lorry. Clear amber colour, large white head, very creamy. Malty nose. Malty with caramel and raisins, balanced with herbal-resiny hops. Very nice, I like it.

bottle from Rapp Heimgetränkedienst. Their beer is not available from shops, but only through their own delivery lorries. Clear pale golden colour, large whitehead. Malty-grainy nose, slightly hoppy. Medium-bodied, malty base with hints of grain, perhaps some bread. Shy resiny-herbal hops balanced the beer nicely. A really well-balanced and clean example of the style, rather malt-accented as is typical for southern Germany.
