Tap at Fränkisches Bierfest. Cloudy yellow, white lace. Grassy nose. Medium light body, mellow mouthfeel. Light mealy malt, good grassy hop aromatics. Classic bitter finish. Good drinkability.

On tap at Hutt’n Nuremberg. As Weisse Eule 5.5% abv. Orange gold cloudy colour normally. Tropical fruit. Passionfruit. Apricot. Peach. Just lovely. Not much hop or herb. But lovely.

Fast klare goldene Farbe mit einer geringen weißen schaumkrone. Geruch getreidig malzig, trocken fruchtig. Geschmack grasig hopfig, mild getreidig, uninteressant.

[backlog] 01-04-16 // at Craft, Frankfurt. Amber copper coloured. Smokey hoppy nose. Taste is malty smooth, then hop bitterness and a light smokey ham,meat note. Interesting.

Bottle @ Hopfen & Malz, Berlin. Pours cloudy yellow with a white foam. Smooth and soft. Grass and citrus. Good breadcrusty malts. Bitter hoppy finish. YES! Quality!

Bottle @ Hopfen & Malz, Berlin. Pours amber with a creamy head. Caramel, freshly baked bread, grass and an insanely smoothness. Chewy malty with a good hoppy finish. Lovely!

Trübes leuchtend orange goldenes Bier mit großen leicht beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr hopfig, rotes Malz, leicht rauchig. Geschmack mild rauchig, sehr hopfig, Schinken.

At BKL16. Amber color with big tan head. Aroma is smoky, ham, umami, something irritating that’s hard to describe, but not bad, probably comes from the interplay between the hops and the smokiness. Taste is as expected from the aroma, with some extra berry skin flavours. Smooth mouthfeel. Unusual, but quite nice. Definitely has a fair amount of character.
