Poured up at Flanny’s Arizona on Tap Festival with a crystal clear deep gold body that supports an off white head of foam. The aroma offers up pine hops as well as a good size dose of floral hops and then a sliver of grapefruit like citrus hoppiness. The taste is full of firm hoppiness with bitter grapefruit and tangelo that has an edge of resiny hops and then flowing into a good load of floral hops that are mixed with sweet malts. With additional sips a resiny pine hop note starts to move more and more forward. Enjoyable single hop effort.

A translucent golden amber ale with a thin white head. In aroma, classic biscuit malt with floral hops, orange pulp, very nice. In mouth, good biscuit malt with loads of resinous and catty hops, grapefruit pulp, alcohol warmth, almost in DIPA territory.

Growler pours with a nice and dark body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up earthy dark roasted malts, burnt malts and a bit of highly roasted coffee. The taste has dark roasted malts to mildly burnt malts with a fairly thin body. This delivers nice flavors for being such a small beer.

Sample at GABF 10/13/2012, thanks to Bluemeow76 for assistance with note-taking. Golden-orange color with a medium off-white head and stringy lacing. Aroma of hops, pine and malt. Medium-bodied with a moderately bitter resiny hops character with notes of malt and fruit in the background. The finish is hoppy with a fruity aftertaste. Above average overall.

Growler fill at Whole Foods Chandler a few weeks ago (and consumed a few weeks ago too). It pours clear gold with a slight pale-ness supporting up a white head of foam. The aroma offers up saison like yeasty spices, apples, pears and a touch of pepperiness. The taste is somewhat similar with a mix of saison like yeasty spices and peach to apples to pear like sweet fruity esters. Beneath these notes is a faint pepperiness mixing with an earthy sort of herbal sort of tart grassiness. Cool stuff.
