Bottle from Beer 52. Has a pleasant aroma of malts and grains with a slight juicy feel as well. Pours a golden yellow with a small transienbt white head, and fairly high carbonation. A sharp metallic tang can be detected on first entering the mouth, but this slowly resolves itself into grains and corn over a bed of sweet malt. Eventually the malt wins out to leave a sweet finish. Not bad at all, but a bit sweet for me.

Tight white foamy head stayed on a slowly carbonating straw coloured body. Cereal, bread & grain aroma. Medium bodied, soft, smooth & lively on the back. Bitter, grainy, cereal, bready & false fruited tastes. Poor.

33cl bottle: BB 25th Dec 2021. Drank at home on 20th Mar 2021. Golden pour, clean, bright and clear; fast fading white top. Typical Helles, very little aroma or taste, this one is slightly sweet and leaning towards a malty flavour rather than a semi-bitter hop based Helles.

[33cl bottle from Beer52.] A bright golden amber pour with a tight cream coloured head and lively carbonation; sour grainy aroma with a touch of damp straw; smooth and sweet in the mouth with a bready taste and texture; and a touch of citrusy hops to finish. Pleasant, but just a basic Helles.

Bottle from Beer52. Dark brown, no head, middling fizz. Cardboard, cabbage, brown sugar and a touch of chocolate. Thin and fizzy, a little powdery a with a dryish finish. Unpleasant vegetable aftertaste - more cabbage. This is poor, verging on grim - not just a fake brewery name with concealed origins, but also a terrible brew.

Bottle from Beer52. Hazy orange-yellow with a white head. Smooth texture is rather lost due to an annoying prickly fizz. Flavours are the hefe classics of foam banana sweets, clove and coriander seed, although fortunately the banana is more muted than in some. Maybe a tad thin, but nevertheless it's a solid example of the style.

Bottle from Beer52. Gold with a very thin white head that rapidly vanishes. There's a light fizz but it feels flat and lifeless. Buttery, with grass, a little lemon and some biscuit in the background. I've had better lagers, but I've had far worse ones too. By lager standards, it's just about ok.
