Tap. Enjoyed outside in the snow and war glorious sun.
Pale hazy golden wit a green shine.
Grassy, citric, light catty. Medium light mellow body, very pleasant. Especially in the surroundings, gets a bonus point for that..

On tap, Saturday 8th February 2025 at Café Wistleberg, Finsterau in the company of Marko, Ursula and Jonas. Pours dark chestnut, there's a little bit of haze, light beige head, a bit of caramel, pretty decent dunkel, quite easy drinking. I was driving so only took a small sample.

Bottled at NPC Wistlberg. Hazy dark amber body, thick off-white head. Fishy, dry caramelly creamy aroma, Umami Weisse?! Anchovy paste bit without the salt in the taste - odd umami yeasty-fishy notes that aren't entirely off-putting. Caramelly maltiness, soft, cramy body, ending dry. Pleasant but weird and stylistically failed drink...

From bottle, enjoyed outside on the patio on a lovely sunny day in the snow.
Cloudy amber, white head,
Coppery, spicy, dry grainy, dusty, some umami/yeasty note in the finish, may not have been the freshest bottles.

Tap at NPC Wistlberg, with Jonas, Ursula and Fin. Hazy yellow-golden body, off-white head. Lightly buttery, softly grainy aroma. Buttery, soft, creamy taste, lightly citric, soapy, light herbal touches. Drinkable, but gets worse as it warms, sadly imperfect, a weird Czecho-Bavarian Helles that fails at both intentionals and unintentional inspirations and works for a moment, but maybe not entirely.

Tap in the glorious sun on the outside area of Cafe Wistlberg.
Clear chestnut, eggshell head.
Cake roast, light honey. Medium light mellow body. Dry chewy. Good balance Easily the best Kanzel beer in the core range we could try here.

Tap at Wistlberg. Murky chestnut. Roasted dark, nuts, tobacco, metallic. Full, chewy, caramel. Not bad.

Bottle at Wistlberg. Cloudy amber golden. Herbal, metallic, clove. Front heavy, edgy, full on metallic clove, followed by a heavy umami sweetness. Wouldnt exactly call this drinkable.

Tap at Wistlberg. Golden, slightly cloudy. Hop, metallic, sweetness. But it tastes alrightish, full, even some crunch. Soapy aftertaste.

Tap at Nationalpark Café Wistlberg, with Jonas, Ursula and Fin the Designated Driver (huge thanks for that!). Lightly hazy cola brown-red-amber body, and a lasting, creamy off-white head. BIt dusty, yeasty, minerally aroma, not much maltiness. The taste, however, works. Lean, dry, but creamy, caramelly, light dried fruit, mildly herbal and prickly in the finish. Best of the lot.
