0.5l bottle, huge thanks Ryan! Clear golden body, white head. Herbal, bit eggy and buttery aroma. Cream, lean, dry taste, bit honeyish, vaguely herbal, somehow juicy - quite drinkable though ending dry. A solid one!

Endlich das Bockbier vom Trossenfurter Roppelt! Flasche vom unverzichtbaren Landbierparadies-Versand. - Tiefes Kupfergold, klar; schöner Schaum mit Ringen. - In der Nase sattes, beinahe fettes Malz, leicht toastig aber nicht karamellig, gediegene herbale Herbe, Anklänge an Trockenobst und Walnuß. - Antrunk massiv und wuchtig hellmalzig aber ohne die bocktypische fette Süße: die durchaus vorhandene Restsüße wird von der Hopfung überlagert, eine zarte Honignote harmoniert wunderbar mit gedämpfter herbaler Hopfung. Milder rezent, vollmundig, perfekt kaschierter Alkohol. - Schwerer, enorm runder, ausgereifter Bock, eine perfekte Verbindung von massivem Malz und kerniger aber nirgends aufdringlicher Hopfung. So geht Bockbier! (5.4.2024.)

500 ml bottle. Unclear dark golden almost amber with a fluffy head. Basement notes, light butter and diacetyl, metallic, malt, nuts. Mild dry bitterness. Medium bodied, oily creamy texture, soft carbonated, dry grainy metallic rustic finish. Nice!

500ml Bottle - From 2021. Dark copper in colour. Chestnuts, hazelnuts and chocolate in the aroma, slightly dusty. Aniseed, roasted nuts, liquorice fudge and raisins can all be detected in the taste. An interesting and rather quirky dunkel.

Bottle @ Landbierparadies, Nürnberg. Pours unclear Golden amber with a small White head. Tough malty and hoppy nose and flavor. Packed with bready malts and Rye alike chewy grains. Full bodied. Grassy hoppy bitter finish. Wauw. Their Pils and Lager is exceptionel but this is a masterpiece. BB 29/06-23. 2,5 before BB date makes me Wonder How old this actually is.

Das Dunkel der Brauerei Roppelt, Trossenfurt, Flasche vom Landbierparadies24. - Dunkles Kupfergoldbraun, klar; fast schaumlos. - In der Nase würzig toastiges und dunkles Malz mit feiner herbaler Herbe und dezenter Aprikose. - Antrunk tief und kernig dunkelmalzig mit einer Andeutung von Röstmalz, Brotkruste, Toffee, Karamel und nur dezenter Süße, gut abgeschmeckt mit zart säuerlicher Pflaume und nicht zu knapper hopfenwürziger Herbe mit feiner erdiger Note. Milder rezent, vollmundig. Im Abgang mild hopfenherb, zart metallisch. - Solides, satt malziges und erfreulich wenig süßes Dunkles, das nur leider ein wenig unfrisch wirkt. (1.5.2021.)

500ml Bottle - Light amber in colour. Bread, marmalade and hints of aniseed in the aroma. Lively and rather interesting taste with notes of aniseed, orange peel and rye. Refreshing and easy to drink.
