(Bottle 50 cl) Clear orangey brown with a beige head. Malty, caramelish aroma. Full body with lots of roasted malt and caramel. Discreet bitterness. A lovely, archetypical Bock. 050506

An amber beer with an orange head. Both the aroma and flavor are slightly acidic with notes of caramel. The end is dry. It was 6 days past the best before date - it can’t be those 6 days that has made it acidic.

(bottle; with big thanks to pivnizub) Clear copper colour with a foamy beige medium head. Sweet aroma of toasted malt with caramel, liquorice and floral hops. Soft carbonated, medium bodied mouthfeel. Toast-malty and moderately sweet taste with caramel, hazelnuts and honey. Slightly fruity, medium bitter finish. Very tasty and quaffable beer.

Bottle (from Landbierparadies): Reddish-amber coloured, huge, quite firm off-white head; distinctive sweet-malty nose with a strong touch of honey (and butterscotch ?) and a distinctive floral hoppiness (almost "english"); soft, distinctive malty body with a well balanced, almost "english" bitterness, medium bodied, soft mouthfeel, low carbonation; lingering, bitter fruity and malty finish. Well, well, well ! An almost perfect Landbier.......................!!!!!

Test vom 12.10.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,11,12,9,9,12 - 11,25

Rerate from bottle. Dry roast and peppery spiced caramel aroma. Pretty dark golden, offwhite head. Light dusty, grainy, caramel, fruity full body, roasty finish. has character. Old rating: 6 4 8 3 13 Bitterhop and fruity malt aroma. Golden brown, nice head. Medium fruity body with a wide range of aromahops. Light bitterhop finish. Leaves a slight watery impression.
