Bottle picked up from REWE, Grafenau and consumed at home Saturday 13th June 2026 listening to a random mix of music via Tidal, mostly Jungle by the sounds of things, however now we've switched to the Folk Bitch Trio - Now Would be A Good Time. This pours looking an unfiltered hazy cloudy yellow with a large white head. This is strange, if I were blindfolded I would have guessed this was a Radler of some description. Bucher Brau are not really loved around here, everyone drinks Falter from Regen, Hackleberg from Passau or Wolferstetter from Vilshofen, they really don't like Bücher Bräu and Hutthurmer from Hutthurm don't get a lot of love either. Anyway this is a strange beer, on the plus side it's refreshing but I don't know what it's trying to be. Score: 5.8

330ml bottle. Cloudy, yellow-ish, dark golden colour with small to average, dense, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Wheaty malty and mildly yeasty spicy, minimally yeasty fruity aroma, hints of clove, whiffs of wiener or frankfurter, mustard seed, a touch of dried banana. Taste is wheaty malty, slightly yeasty spicy and minimally yeasty fruity, minimally grassy hoppy, hints of clove, dried banana, a weak touch of papaya, some residual sweetness.
Creamy texture, smooth and super soft palate, fine, dense, soft carbonation.
Good mouthfeel, relatively sweet but not that banana dominated, some subtleties - decent.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear, reddish brown with a small, beige head. Distinct cola aroma. Light body, sweet cola notes with a sticky, artificial sweetness. I don't really find the cherries. Absolutely no bittermess. 101225

Picked up from a 12 bottle box Kalea? from Globus. Plattling, €13. Consumed at home Tuesday 9th December 2025 listening to Huw Stephens on 6Music. We had a simple tea of Spaghetti Bolognese after a busy few days away with Jude and Baz in Straubing and Regensburg and then in München meeting Bavarian Bluebirds last night and Jonas and Ursula on Sunday. Pours hazy deep yellow with a fast disappearing white head. Fairly typical wheat beer, lacks a little bit of definition, soft on the mouth, easy drinking, could be a bit bolder with wheaty characteristics but it's absolutely fine, yeastiness is apparent as is a little citrus but just needs to be a bit forward.
