On tap at Beer Temple. Black, brown head. Aroma of hard roasted malts, oats, coffee, chocolate, some vanilla, alcohol. Flavour is light sweet, hard roasted malts, alcohol, bitter chocolate, coffee, light smoke, firm bitter finish. Medium bodied. Nice beer.

Bottle.Pitch black colour with large beige head.Aroma is rosted and malty with taste of licorice and dried dark fruits.texture is oily and creamy with full body and smooth warming finish.

A lightly hazed golden saison with a thin white head. In aroma, a nice fruity ester with nice floral hops, light citrus, coriander, very nice. In mouth, a nice smooth grassy malt with light spices, floral hops, orange pulp, light Brett, very nice. On tap at Rattle’n’Hum, Dec. 28 2011.

Borefts Beer Festival 3. Hazy amber beer, no real head. Light crisp palate. Good piney bitterness. Grassy grapefruit. resinous. Light dry finish. Lovely DIPA.

Bottle. Orange-amber beer with a cream colored head. Sumemr fruit and light yeast aroma. Sumemr fruit and yeast flavor with light spice. Medium bodied. Summer fruit and light spice lingers with light earth and light yeast.

750. Pours a hazy tangerine with a massive, dense foam head. Aromas are a little understated, but get better as it warms. A bit of honey, lemon, grass and spruce tips or something blend together on the palate with a hint of funk and a resiny finish. That kind of took me by surprise, as it has an almost IPA edge to it. This is lovely stuff. Ahh... and reading the description, Simcoe and Amarillo... that’s why it seemed so odd for a saison.
