At polish beer tasting , thnx to stefaan . Pours darker , clear amber . No real head . Smell is faded hops , subtile citrus and pine . Taste is gentle , sweet , hoppy , aromatic , fruity , little bitter in the back . Balanced and very nice

Big pink head. Clear brilliant deep dark red body. Cherry syrup aroma with marzipan notes. Sweet winter cherries taste with faint metal/blood notes. Mid-to-full body. Mild, soft, smooth mouthfeel. Sweetish waxy cherry aftertaste with syrupy notes. It’s not bad, but, well, still tastes like a beer and cherry syrup mix. At least it’s not artificial. (0.5l bottle, from some supermarket in Warsaw.)

Bottle. Golden colour, hazy, medium head with good lacing. Aroma is white bread, plus aggressive spruce. Medium bitterness. Soft carbonation, medium body. Quite original, not too aggressive, but not in my taste.

500ml bottle [Tanja & Verena, thank you very much again, you have a knack for detecting a gem on every journey you take]. Darkest brown colour with late awakening, average to huge, thick, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, tan head. Spicy dark malty aroma has notes of roast, dark chocolate, lovage, treacle, liquorice. Taste is moderately sweet dark malty, hints of treacle, dark chocolate, also a dry, roasty dark malty as well as a slightly nuttily touch, some liquorice; oily texture, sticky palate. Rich but not complex (in Luhmann definition: a system is complex iff not all components of the system are directly connected to each other), i.e. balanced and integrated.

Bottle sample at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks Stas. Dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of roast, caramel, chocolate and some dark fruits. Sweet roasty flavor with chocolate, caramel and a bit of fruitiness. Rounded mouthfeel. Good.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Hazy dark golden with a lasting off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and moderate hoppy - citrus and grass. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. 050714
