Description
The origins of the brewery can be traced back to 1797, with an inn and a grocer always mentioned. It has been family-owned since 1919. Today Günter and Rainer Wagner are responsible for the cool liquid from the keg, of which especially the Ungespundete Lagerbier has a cult status in Bamberg and the region. The brewery has an annual production of 17,000 hectoliters.

Sattes Gold im Glas, Schaum passt. In der Nase schön getreidig, im Trunk spritzig, recht leicht, dezente Süße, relativ süffig. Spät ganz leicht bitter. Passt.

Tap at HopDog. Clear dark golden. Malt and nothingness. Soft, soft, fluffy, full, round, balanced. So much more drinkable than what I had recently.

Tap at HopDog. Clear golden, white lace. Cracking malt, chewy sweetness, flowery honey in the background, grassy, light herbal, great balance, excellent Helles.

50cl Fles van Bierothek Bamberg. Diepgouden kleur, witte kraag. Zachtzoet, moutig, witbrood, honing, licht grassig, degelijk bitter. Lichte body, glad en zacht mondgevoel. Erg fijne Märzen.

50cl fles van Bierothek Bamberg. Kastanjebruine kleur, beige kraag. Noten, mout, vers bruinbrood, hint van rogge, droog, cacao, bitter. Lichte body, zacht. Lekker.

Gravity at HopDog anniversary. Thanks Gregor I think! Clear golden body, off-white head. Flowery-hoppy, minerally aroma, quite okay. Flowery-hoppy taste, light herbal touches, some sweetish caramel notes, light bitterness. Smooth and tasty, a good one in very good shape!
