Airplane bottle with Shig. Clear, dull, medium-light pale honey, still pour. Straw, apple, gum, acidy nose. Upfront floral honey, dessert apple, vanilla, slight chem, sweet onion. Off-sweet to sweet. Fusel, strong, thin, intentionally still. Surprisingly okay.

Sample given to me by danlo - thanks Ed! Golden and clear, no head. Big notes of honey in the aroma, slightly grassy. Taste is sweet and ambrosial, big and boozy, with hints of orange and caramel hiding among the honey. Thick body, no carbonation. A simple, unadulterated and frankly delicious mead.

28/12/2023. Bottle shared by danlo, cheers Ed! Pours clear pale golden with no head. Aroma is clove, nutmeg, cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, honey, petroleum jelly. Very sweet, with a light spiced edge. Medium body, low carbonation. Enjoyable.

750ml bottle from Hop Burns & Black. Reddish orangey amber-gold colour, no head and aroma of cherry, marzipan, honey. Taste is sweet, honey, black cherry, marizpan, syrupy and abit medicinal. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, drying fleshy cherry at the finish. Quite drinkable.

375ml bottle from Horns of Odin. Golden colour, afew short-lived bubbles on top and aroma of cloves, nutmeg, cardamom, citric. Taste is sweet, honey, spiced, nutmeg, cloves, sugar, with some zesty citrus. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, lingering sweet & spiced finish. Nicely sippable.

750ml bottle from Beautiful Beers. Clear golden amber colour, afew bubbles on top and aroma of honey, floral, funk hint. Taste is sweet, honey, floral, fruity, syrupy and some booze. Oily mouthfeel, full to medium bodied, honey sweet & boozy finish. Nicely drinkable.
