NRW-Flasche: Clear, deep golden to light amber coloured, creamy off-white head, sweetish toasty nose with some nutty traces with a delicate bitterness in the background; mild to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, almost medium bodied; slightly lingering sweet-bitter dark-malty finish. Unspectacular brew, but well crafted…

Bottled 500ml. -from Biervana Munich. Unclear yellow/golden coloured, medium sized white head, mild grainy yeasty nose. Sweetish malty, mild fruity, grainy and yeasty with heavy carbonation. Some notes of caramel near the end. Pretty ordinary.

Bottle: Deep golden to light amber coloured, hazy, rocky and quite persistent "dirty" head; mild herbal-grapefruity nose, traces of malt and caramel detectable; nearly moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied, slightly lingering lemony and caramelly finish. Just O.K.…

Bottle: Very deep amber coloured ( with a ruby sheen?), big and slowly collapsing firm off-white head; sweetish caramelly to toasty nose with illusions of chocolate-cake; moderate sweet-bitter flavour with a slight acidity, medium bodied and pretty soft; slightly lingering bitter-sweet toasty and caramelly finish, some sourish fruits presumably detectable. Pretty good…

Bottle, vielen dank Günther! Bright Chestnut-red colour, low off-white head. Rich treacle and plum aroma. Full-bodied, sweet, preserved fruit notes, caramel, light roast, a hint licorice, good broad hop finish to cut through the sweetness. Fullflavored and moreish, doesn’t have to hide from Andechser Bergbock!

(bottle, 33cl) Cloudy, murky amber colour with a medium-sized and slightly tanned foamy head. Rather discreet aroma of citric, peachy and slightly minty hops with notes of caramelly, slightly bready malt. Moderately sweet and delicately bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a calm carbonation. Mildly bready malt character with hints of caramel, accompanied by slightly fruity and herbal hops from the middle part, getting slightly stronger and a tad resiny towards the sweet and slightly bitter finish. Likeable and rounded brew, but don´t expect a common IPA. 07.IX.15

Vielen Dank an Erzengel!
