Tasting at Matt’s, can
Golden color, poor head. Strange aroma, biscuity malts, yuzu, corn, sweat. Smooth, moderately sweet, nice biscuity malts, strong bitterness, some lemon peel, but final with chicory bitterness.
It seems a bit off, but probably has been good earlier.

A small can at Matt’s. Pours a clear golden with a white head. Aroma is skunky, malty, some hops. Taste is similar with some smokey notes and strong piney bitterness. Not bad.

Can, pours a clear pale golden with a medium white head. Aroma brings out floral hops, biscuity malt, and some skunky notes. Flavour brings out a floral hoppy bitterness, with a lot of skunkiness, some grass, and biscuity malt. Very skunky, but not too offensive. It's alright. I'd bet that this is much better from the source.

Has a light amber, with a touch of chill haze. Thin head. Has a hint of mushroomy, slightly earthy hop. Has a fair amount of earthy bitterness, but the hop aroma is not very expressive. Has some biscuity malt character, and if you ignore the old C hop character could be an old school EPA.

Hazy light amber. Medium head. Footy stinky yeast nose, touch of black pepper, light body. Maybe phenols In the finish.

Can. Pale amber, clear, with a white head. Aroma of bread crusts, pine with a medicinal touch, tenor register citrus. Quite full bodied for only 5%. Moderate carbonation. Kumquat and some nectarine, not much of a yelp from the malt side of things except for a bit of an old-school bottle ESB boiled lolly thing. Resinous and somewhat herbal finish is not quite dry but plenty bitter. A bit heavy and naggingly bitter where I’d hoped for refreshing and zesty. Indeed after a while some grapefruit emerges that was obscured. Pretty good but a tad crude.

Cloudy amber color. Nice apples and citrusy, slightly sweet maltiness. Body is a bit heavier than I would like for the style. Modestly bitter. Not bad little pale ale but doesn’t go anywhere special.

big banana, funky nose. Very phenolic. Light wheaty. Smooth. But the finish is too quick and lame.

On tap at Leffe Craft Beer & Diner, Nagano. Clear amber with a small, off-white head. Fairly malty and caramelly aroma with mild hoppy notes, and hints of spices. Medium sweet, rather mild flavours and a modest bitterness. Easy to drink and fairly enjoyable.

On tap at Bakushu Club Popeye, Tokyo. Clear deep golden to amber, with a minimal, white head. Fruity and hoppy aroma with mild piney notes, citrus and pale malt. Moderate sweet with nice fruity flavours and a medium bitter finish. Tasty and refreshing ale!
