Can from Tanakaya. Light grape and fruity esters, with some light clove and pepper. Grassy hops with some pithy grapefruit undertones. Nice bitterness. Well-balanced hoppy wit more so than wheat ale. Nice dry, peppery finish. Solid. --- Beer merged from original tick of Biere De Rydeen White Ale on 19 Mar 2016 at 17:41 - Score: 7. Original review text: Nice hoppy wit. Some floral notes as well.

Tap at Komachi. Hazy gold color with a medium fine head. Spicy, yeasty nose, oranges and peaches. Sweet and spicy flavor, lemon. Too yeasty and sweet. Almost unpleasant. No thanks. Disappointing.

Can from Tanakaya. Bubblegum heavy estery nose. Body feels a tad on the heavy side. Some creaminess present with average carbonation. Sweet on the palate with some peppery yeast. Finish becomes drier with some hoppy bitterness and pepper from the yeast. Nice first stab at a saison, but still just average and borderline cloying. Almost like a heavier hoppier weizen. --- Beer merged from original tick of Biere De Rydeen Saison Duke on 10 Mar 2016 at 19:37 - Score: 6. Original review text: Not bad for a first shot at a saison...kinda heavy and lots of bubblegum. Sweet, peppery finish.

light Amber color. Beautiful hoppy grapefruity nose with the hops and the grapefruit perfectly together. Light mouth with the grapefruity jumping out and mesh perfectly with the beer. Wow. This is a total home run. I love captain crow but this takes things to the next level. Sharp dry grapefruity finish. Awesome.

Oh! la! ho! Golden Ale 5% can at Shinshu Sake Mura. A floral bready aroma on a bright gold body. Medium bodied with a crackery light malt character and a perfumey floral hoppiness. Nice dry finish. Decent and much more flavorful than the Ki no Sato from Minami Alps I’d had right before it. ——2020 version—— Oh!La!Ho! Golden Ale 5% 35 IBU Nice looking clear gold with a dense foamy top that leaves decent lacing but doesn’t really linger. The aroma is bready with green piney hop notes. On first sip the medium body is surprisingly bitter but finishes crisp. As you get used to it, other malt notes come into play though it stays a touch bitter. Decent can from Seijo Ishiii.

Tap at CBM Koenji 1st year anniversary event. Clear copper with a small off-white head that dissipates quickly. Strong orange juice aromas with some light grapefruit and lemon zest. Body is a little thin with average carbonation. Very juicy on palate. Bitter finish that lingers with some booze. The 7% is noticeable, but still a fun beer. --- Beer merged from original tick of Yoidare Double Pale Ale on 29 Nov 2015 at 14:44 - Score: 7

Can from Tanakaya. Drank straight out of the can. Roasted malt aromas with coffee, chocolate, almonds, caramel and light dark fruit notes. Average carbonation with a nice roasty malt flavor on the palate. Surprisingly bitter under the carbonation (roasty bitterness or hop bitterness or both). Porter-like body with a nice semi-dry finish. Really solid.

On tap at Kamikaze. Oh la Ho emotive IPA 6% slightly mat gold color with a great hop bouquet of citrus, pine and resin. Sharply carbonation and fairly light bodied. The taste is earthy pine bark. Simple but solid. Doesn’t leave such a strong impression though.
