Description
An independently owned award winning micro-brewery, we started in an ancient milking shed just outside Bexhill, East Sussex. We’re now in a 2000 litre purpose built facility on the sprawling Sussex Downs just outside of Brighton where we brew traditional beers with a modern twist.
The music is always turned up too loud and in a nod to our roots, we have cows as next door neighbours.
We have a lovely community on our farm, working closely with our landlord and supplying beer to his son who runs the butcher’s and farm shop on site.

Cask handpull at Humphrey Bean JDW Tonbridge. As Edge 1066 at 3.9% abv. Clear pale brown amber colour with a lasting white bubbly head. Drunk quickly pre SIBA BF. Diacetyl and yeast on aroma. Not the best condition ever. Some caramel digestive biscuit flavour. Served to cold. Little condition. Its a biscuity bitter with very little hop presence throughout. It passed a quick five mins

Cask via handpump at the Hand in Hand, Brighton on 30th May 2011. Hazy to cloudy copper with off white nonlacing foam ring. Sweet caramel malt aroma, main taste of caramel malt - also metallic and a ginger touch. Citric finish, and again rather on the sweet side. Slightly saline light textured mouthfeel. Bit of a mixed bag this one.

Cask, handpump at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks, 26-07-10 Pours reddy amber with off-white creamy head. This is a fairly standard bitter, served a touch warm, its safe on the maltiness and bitterness front, some caramel shows, its fine. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

27th April 2010. Clear gold beer. Light dry palate. Lovely mixture of soap and cleaning fluid with some bitter hops thrown in. One of the worst beers it’s been my misfortune to try.

[Cask at GBBF 2004] A hazy amber beer with a small beige head. The aroma is sweet fruity, while the flavor contains notes of caramel, yeast, and fruit, leading to a dry end.
