Cask at The Market Porter, London. Very light beer. Mild bitterness, some light malt tones. Yeah, not too much to say except this fella is quite mild all around. Not unappealing, though.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2011, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.Clear dark red brown colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, chalk, dark dried fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110803]

50cl bottle from Tescos, Hastings. Brilliant amber with a fast fading white head; medium carbonation; the aroma is full on malty from the moment the bottle is opened, with perhaps a whiff of leafy hops; soft in the mouth with more malt and some weak fruit; then some caramel to finish, but no sign of the hops. Malty.

From cask. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted dark malty and slight breadish. Mild citric, bitter and dark malty. Slight thin into the finish.

Cask at GBBF, Day 4. Pours dark, ruby-brown with a small, off-white head. Fruity nose, hints of dark malts. Light to medium sweet flavor, very faint herbal bitterness, plum, light brown sugar. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Mild sweet finish, some bread and dough, some semi-dark fruits. Good.

Cask handpull at Humphrey Bean JDW Tonbridge. As Edge 1066 at 3.9% abv. Clear pale brown amber colour with a lasting white bubbly head. Drunk quickly pre SIBA BF. Diacetyl and yeast on aroma. Not the best condition ever. Some caramel digestive biscuit flavour. Served to cold. Little condition. Its a biscuity bitter with very little hop presence throughout. It passed a quick five mins

Cask at The Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Pale straw with a tight white head; aroma of cereal with a faint whiff of citrus; sweet, smooth and grainy with some weak lemon squash for flavouring; the finish is dry and floury and lightly bitter. Boring and not particularly good.

Cask via handpump at the Hand in Hand, Brighton on 30th May 2011. Hazy to cloudy copper with off white nonlacing foam ring. Sweet caramel malt aroma, main taste of caramel malt - also metallic and a ginger touch. Citric finish, and again rather on the sweet side. Slightly saline light textured mouthfeel. Bit of a mixed bag this one.
