Description
Bullfrog Brewery is a proudly independent and multiple award-winning craft microbrewery, brewpub, and eatery nestled comfortably in the vibrant heart of downtown Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Born of fortuitous circumstance and ambitious aspiration, we opened in August of 1996 with a committed 'focal on local' philosophy and a simple yet lofty goal ... to be the place that people need to spend time, to brew beers that people need to have in their life, to offer food that people need to eat, to offer live music that people need to hear, and to be the place that our beloved staff need to work. Bullfrog beers are renowned far and wide, especially our artfully-crafted, barrel-aged wild ales such as Le Roar Grrrz and Rood Bruin. Here at "The Frog," we celebrate life by creating outstanding and memorable beers, food, friendships, and moments.

Draught at CBC Boston, 9/23/17.
Clear, bright raspberry-crimson with a small, pink-tinged head to ring.
Like the aardbei, there's a strong base of acetic acid and jammy fruit. Quite powerful, with light oak contributing to this, as well as plentiful fruit acidity. As far as wild character, it's definitely got some strong lacto-acetic character, though it's not as harmonious with the fruit or overall as soft as it could be. Otherwise, well-presented, clean, no alcohol.
Big body for a sour with residual fruit sugars in abundance but true and enjoyable fruit components of seed, flesh, juice, etc. Again acetic acid pairs with oaky vanilla to compound its perceived strength but everything is at least working towards the "style" here. Dries out on the finish, with tartness, tannin and tight carbonation all to thank. Soft, oily-to-malty texture. No alcohol or flaw. Should age well.

750 ml bottle from Mikkeller webshop, bottled march 24 2016.
Deep ruby body, with a medium, creamy, moderately lacing, light pink head.
Aroma of yoghurt, blueberries, barrel, some vinegar, overripe fruits, some leather, some green apples.
Tastes pretty similar, very balanced.
Medium, a bit creamy mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes perfect, very smooth, wooden, moderate sour, a bit sweet, moderate vinous, with yoghurt, lingering blueberry skin, some apples, some ripe fruits.
Very tasty! Really greatly balanced, very smooth to drink, with a lovely combination of barrel, the blueberries, other fruits and just enough acidity. Probably my favourite one from Bulldog I've had, this is exactly my taste.

0,75l bottle at Powys shared by Saeglopur, big thanks. BBMarch 24th 2016. purple cloudy color, small white head. smells of blueberries, joghurt, nutty, wood, spices, herbal. nice to very nice smell. full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes grassy, herbal, rather bretty, peppery, heavy on the spices, earthy, hints of vinegar. finishes medium dry and lightly sour with notes of spices, brett and grassy notes. lovely smell, taste is rather heavy on the brett and spices, I a not a fan of the complexity, but great balance none the less. overall very nice beer.
