Colchester Beer Festival. Cask. Clear amber beer, a few palet tan bubbles. Smooth malts, mildly sweet, touch of creamy caramel. Mild semi sweet floralness. Mildly tangy fruits and a pinch of spice. Light dry finish. Not too bad.

Colchester Beer Festival. Cask. Pretty much a clear gold beer, bubbly white head. Palate is light and semi dry and has reasonable fine carbonation. Light malts, not that sweet. Spicy bitter floralness. Yellow grapefruit. Little bit of orange and orange peel. More spicy bitterness on the light finish. Robust.

Can shared on Level 42 14/06/2017. Many thanks to Kenny for this one. A hazed dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a lasting light tan head. Aroma is dark malts, liquorice, plastic, low pine needle. Flavour is composed of tangy, nutty malts, jammy fruits, woody fruit. Palate is medium sweet, moderate carbonation, sticky. Little. Mouldy funk. Meh not that great.

Can at L42. It pours darkest brown with a sturdy tan head. The aroma is toasty, roasted malt, bitter - sweet, ash, coffee and a touch of red berry. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, toasty, earthy, spicy, ashy, cola, fruit cake, citrus peel and spice with a dry, leathery finish. Medium body and mdoerate carbonation. Not a huge amount to it.

Can split at L42, thanks to Kenny, 14/06/17. Light black with a decent tan cap. Nose is sweet malts, toffee, faint liquorice, brown bread. Taste comprises light cocoa, toffee, spice, grains, fruit esters. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, drying close. Average stuff ... weak for the style.

Can shared in London - thanks to Kenneth. Pours clear, deep brown with a creamy, beige head. The nose has some rounded toasted malts, burnt caramel, dried berries, faint vanilla. Medium sweet flavour with a little metallic note, mild roast, more dried berries, earth. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Alright balance in the finish, lightly warming, with notes of burnt pine, oily cocoa, more berry accents. Not bad.

Cask @ Waterhouse, Manchester. Clear pale golden with a thin creamy head. Hoppy and somewhat dry, itβs slightly watery too. Sugars are evident in its nose.

Can, many thanks minutemat! Hazy orange color with creamy off-white head. Aroma is overripe grapefruit, earthy hops, toasted malts, caramel. Taste is caramel, bready, earthy, spicy hop sting and a bitter, slightly boozy finish. Sharp carbonation. Quite rustic, and very Old School indeed.
