Description
The Faversham Brewery is home to Shepherd Neame, Britain's oldest brewer - and while 1698 is the Brewery's official founding date, there is clear evidence that its heritage pre-dates even this period. Using natural ingredients, such as mineral water from the town’s aquifer and local hops, our brewers produce Kentish ales bursting with character and renowned international lagers. Our brewers blend art and science to produce award-winning beer we want you to enjoy time and time again.

Outstanding porter. Rich, creamy and roasty. Excellent herbal/grassy hop complements the rich malts. Smooth. I get a little worried about this in the clear glass bottles, but I've been lucky so far.

Harsher than I'd like, and with the slightest hint of being light- struck. I've got to believe this beer is 10 times better on draught than in the bottle in the US. At any rate, it was a nice rich English ale - the Kent hops gave it a great hop flavor, with a medium bitterness.
