Bottle (purchased at the brewery): Deep chestnut-amber coloured, big, slowly diminishing fluffy off-white head; solid sweetish-malty and a bit dryer toasted-malty nose with a fruity touch; fizzy MF, moderate sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; dryish bitter-toasted finish. (bottle) Clear, dark brown coloured hue with ruby spots and a big but diminishing frothy off-white head. Light-sweet and delicately toasted malty aroma with a subtle berry-fruity touch. Medium-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a fizzy carbonation. Toast-malty and slightly fruity taste with shy notes of caramel; moderately dry and shy toasty finish with a little bitterness. Not an overly convincing Dunkel (26.08.08).

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 5.5

(bottle) Clear, slightly greenish golden colour with a fluffy white foam. Discreet aroma: slightly sweet and soft grainy malty nose with faint herbal hoppy notes. Light-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Rather one-dimensional soft malty and strawy taste with herbal and lightly grassy hoppy notes; quite dry and slightly hoppy finish. Rather trite Pils (14.07.08).

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6

(bottle) Clear, greenish golden colour with a mid-sized frothy white head. Light-sweet, sour doughy and strawy malty aroma with light herbal hoppy notes. Light-bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a medium carbonation. Strawy and doughy malt-character, moderately grainy with light herbal notes; medium-dry, malt-accented finish with a light level of hoppy bitterness. Okay (18.08.08).

5.8
Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6

(bottle) Cloudy, pale golden colour with a giant foamy white head. Quite phenolic nose with cloves and band aid while fruity esters and wheaty notes stay permanently in the background. Sweet and slightly sour flavour, light to medium bodied with a lively carbonation. In contrast to its aroma the taste surprisingly grainy and wheat-malty, but again with a rather restrained fruit-character; moderately sweet wheaty and slightly sour finish. Ordinary Wheat (10.06.08).
