12 oz. Aroma is grainy, bready, peppery, Smarties. Pours crystal clear golden with a one finger white fluffy head with excellent retention. Taste is highly bitter for style with some noticeable but light malt sweetness alongside; finishes very dry. Flavors like the aroma descriptors along with a faint note of lemon rind. Has a nice peppery bite. A really nice pils.

16 oz. Aroma has notes of pineapple, pine, dankness, Smarties. Pours hazy orange-golden with a one finger white head with good retention. It settles into a cap of foam after a little bit and stays there. Taste is moderately bittersweet with a hint of savory and a lingering pithy finish. Very solid.
As you’d expect but with a bit of aniseed somewhere.

Another Tavour delivery of a stout, thank you. 12 oz can, I like the label. Sharing this one over the internet with the blessed son, life is good. Into the Buffalo Bayou snifter it goes, jet black, no light going through this liquid. A nice topping of parchment bubbles, settles into a skim. The nose is of walking into a coffee shop. And the taste, not quite as attractive. Straightforward malt, a fairly non-sweet chocolate, roasty, earthy, grain and firmly bitter. Decent for a stout, I prefer the depth and impact of an imperial stout.

16 oz. Aroma is cantaloupe, guava, mango, caramel, grain, grapefruit, bready, red licorice--smells amazing. Pours clear deep golden with a two finger cream-white head with excellent retention. Taste is moderately to highly bitter with hints of candy sweetness. Somewhat soft carbonation and a tad watery. Good stuff.
