Easy-drinking (if mildly potent) WCIPA, with a melon-white grape-tropical punch hoppiness offset by a modest pine-mineral bitterness and lingering grape in the finish. Good but a little more bitter edge would be nice.

750ml @ SF shared with Brian, Phill, and Ryan.
Aroma: tad bolder than Eagle Rare / Sazerac version, less boozy, a lot of American oak.
Taste: along the same lines, more round and bold than another variant.
Overall: nice one, somewhat better than 2nd variant.

Poured from 750mL bottle (batch 1; bottled Dec 2023; blue label, burgundy wax). Side by side with Weller & Buffalo Trace variant. Very dark brown with small beige head. More neutral bourbon, slightly boozier and a touch more body, dark sugars. Prefer the body of this one, but the bourbon flavours of the other. Needs to be blended.

Poured from 750mL bottle (batch 1; bottled Dec 2023; pink label, blue wax). Side by side with Eagle Rare & Sazarac variant. Very dark brown with small beige head. Woody bourbon, more of a medium body, dark sugars. Prefer the bourbon taste on this one, but the body of the other. Needs to be blended.

Overall: good one.

Can from Tavour. Pours clear brown with a small tan head. Nutty malty aroma. Arguably med body. Sort of dry. Lightly bitter. More chestnut than I'd really like. Bits of semi-dark malt and chocolate.

Nice notes of red apple, toasted bread, caramel, and subtle smoke. Finishes with a gentle floral bitterness and lingering cherrywood smoke into the fade. Tasty.
