30th July 2018, on-tap at the brewhaus where we stayed the night. Mahogany body, slight haze, beige crown. Sweet malty brew that didn't have a lot going on really. Expected more from their Headline Beer to be honest.

Süßlich malziger Beginn mit gewürzigem Einschlag, etwas Lebkuchen, weiche und milde Herbe. Leicht unterdurchschnittliche Karbonisierung, süffig, zunehmend getreidig, dabei kaum hopfig. Mittellanger Nachhall. 9/10/9/9//9

Bottle 330ml. @ [ Hotel Room tasting ] - DSG Crew room, Woerden, Netherlands. [ As Remscheider Duuster ].Clear medium amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, straw, caramel, sweet malt. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, sweet malt, caramel, hay, nutty notes. Mild süßer Antrunk, getreidig, Kürbis. Geringe Herbe, süffig, angenehm würzig. Im Gegensatz zu anderen Bieren mit Kürbis angenehm dezent, der Kürbis ist erkennbar, stellt sich aber nicht unangenehm in den Vordergrund. Auch auf Gewürze scheint weitestgehend verzichtet worden zu sein, minimal Zimt. Langer Nachhall, geringe Würzigkeit, süffig, getreidig. 9/10/9/10//9

Hazy pale golden colour, small frothy white head, dissipates quickly, light lacing. Fresh aroma, malts, grain, grass. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, grainy, grassy, bit yeast. Peppery notes in the malty sweetbitter aftertaste, medium body, watery to oily texture, average carbonation, refreshing, just your simple pilsner but well-made and easy to drink.

Eher dunkler hopfiger Antrunk mit deutlich malzigem Körper. Mittelstarke Herbe, der Hopfen wird zum Mittelteil deutlich schwächer. Brotig, Nuancen von Zitrus tief im Hintergrund, trocken. Geht so. 8/9/8/7//7

0.3 l on tap at the brewpub as ’Citra-Scheps’. Slightly hazy, golden amber with a thin, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish, slightly fruity aroma of caramel, honey and hints of citrus. Sweetish, slightly fruity and a bit yeasty taste of caramel, honey, some citrus and a touch of butter, followed by a short, medium bitter, slightly dry finish. Almost medium-bodied, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Hard to believe it’s only 2.5% abv! Doesn’t taste bad as well, just a bit stale.

Spritziger, mild zitrusartig hopfiger Antrunk. Geringe Herbe, wässriger Hintergrund. Die Intensität nimmt insgesamt schnell ab, wirklich wässrig wird das Bier aber nicht, schrammt im Nachgeschmack aber nur haarscharf dran vorbei, noch wenig Zitrus. Dennoch gut. 9/10/9/8//9
