330ml bottle, thanks to Kolshtrinker. Pours misty pale, medium white head. Distinct watermelon / bubblegum nose. Moderately sweet to taste, with good - though perhaps artificial? - watermelon coming through a pale malt, pale ale base, a bit bubblegummy at times, but generally a pleasant fruity pale overall.

Mild herber Beginn mit erkennbarer Wassermelone, die, nicht überraschend, kaum Aroma ins Bier bringt. Steigend bitter, konstant herb, dabei übernimmt die Bitterkeit schnell die Führung. Süffig, im Abgang zusätzlich helles Getreide. Okay. 9/8/9/9/12/9

Tap (Festival der Dortmunder Braukultur 2019): Deep golden, hazy, quite stable off-white head, moderate sweetish-bitter aroma of sweet pale malt with fruity traces and illusions of toasted malt; mild dryish herbal bitterness in the background; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, but a bit fizzy; lingering sweet-bitter finish including a distinctive malty and herbal-bitter traces. Quite a good drop...

Bottle, thanks Koelschtrinker. Pours black-dark brown with beige-brownish head. Aroma and flavor are sweet, bitter, roast, malt, coffee. Finish is roast bitter. Overall: ok --- Beer merged from original tick of Black IPA on 10 Feb 2019 at 18:56

Süßlicher, cremig getreidiger Hopfenantrunk. Steigend getreidig, etwas Hafer, der süßliche Hopfen ist kaum bitter. Wenig herb, die Süße stört mittlerweile. Süffig, zum Ende pappig. Okay, für den Biergarten zu wenig erfrischend. 8/9/7/8//8

30th July 2018. On-tap at the Brauhaus. Misty golden pour, white crown, carbonation bubbles rising through the body. Though it might have some wheat within its makeup by the aroma and taste, decent refreshing beer to drink in their biergarten enjoying the late afternoon sunshine.
