Description
Our mission has been to produce vibrant, quality and innovative beer with a truly authentic team of humans since 2015. Structures Brewing was founded by James Alexander after spending years working at breweries in Washington, Pennsylvania, and Vermont.
In 2021, forces were joined when Bryan Cardwell partnered with James. Bryan comes from a background of world class brewing experience in Washington and Oregon. Together they have meshed their skills of brewing great hoppy beer and lager beer... while also loving to explore the realms of curiosity in Imperial Stouts, Barleywines and Smoothie Sours.

Dark brown. No head. The aroma is big bourbon on the nose with roast. On the palate, again lots of bourbon. Medium body, a bit acidity and some fruitiness. Looks more roasted than it tastes. Okay malt base...the treatment really dominates here.

Poured from 750mL bottle. Black with almost no beige head. Vanilla bomb, quite nice, also mild chocolate and a hint of barrel. Nice.

Inky black colour, no head. The aroma has quite a bit of vanilla up front on the nose. On the palate, it starts rich, then dries out a bit, bringing dried fruit notes, plums, maybe some slight roast. The vanilla is still there, kind of off to the side. Solid.

Poured from 750mL bottle. Black with almost no beige head. Loads of toasted coconut, barrel character is there, but mostly hidden behind all that coconut. Tasty, but mostly just sweet adjunct, not subtle at all.

Dark brown. No head. Lots of coconut on the nose. On the palate, rich, molassesy, coconut, a bit boozy. Sticky, light coffee, big coconut, and again molasses. The alcohol mostly just balances things out.

750ml (thx, Tom B. for picking it up and keeping it for me!) @ Ryan's. Appearance: pours like an oil, very dark brown with no head but with coconut flakes floating on the top. Aroma: tons of weird (to me like a metallic, iron thing) toasted coconut, some bourbon, moderately sweet. Taste: very sweet, tons of coconut, boozy, coffee finish. Overall: pretty good.

Bottle at Black Christmas March 2022
Black colour. Thick, deep chocolate character; it's oily, sweet, with almonds, vanilla, and mild peppermint. Not my favorite profile, but it's well made.

Black colour. Vanilla and chocolate aroma. Sweet, thick; chocolate flavour, cacao, a touch of cinnamon, roasted nuts, and a balanced, warm finish.
Wonderful.

Poured from bottle at Black Xmas. Dregs: murky black with minimal tan head. Chocolate and peppermint. Thick and rich. Enjoyable, but gimmicky.

Bottle, courtesy of Sergey; third blend of 2021
Black colour, oily, no head. Decadent chocolate aroma, enriched with some vanilla. Full bodied, sweet, it starts with dark chocolate, some cacao, some vanilla, spirit, bourbon in the finish; it's bold but well constructed.
Excellent.
