Bottle via Press. Stemless wineglass at home. No one else is interested.
Clear, orange amber pour, weak head.
Tannic, new leather, juicy orange nose.
Thin, half crispy, lots of leather & orange citrus.
Taste is lemon, leather, earthy bits, pear skin, lots of seed & citrus.
Medium high acid, iron, half sweet, lingering green pith, weak grapefruit, super leafy finish, lingering acid, iron.
Extra thin, sort of astringent, desperate for air, sharp carb. Obviously good.
Vapid but good texture, finite & lacking something.

Clear 750 from Press online. Cap still on, but it started leaking(about 1/3rd) on the way here. So it's getting a quick chill & review that'll hopefully get the gist before turning to vinegar.
Lo-Ball at home. Reassuring big carb snap on the cap. Lightly hazy straw gold pour with some lingering lace.
White wine, barrel, subtle orange, leafy, sweaty bittersharp, acidy apple nose that's otherwise subdued.
Soft cream sweetness, lemon, acidy apple, cheap n grassy white wine, fun amount of butterscotch, hint of vanilla, light yeast cake. Really takes off once it shakes off the cold.
Low-mid tartness, medium sharp, slightly buttery, just a faint amount of texture but otherwise thin with a weak but constant carbonation.
Really nice barrel treatment. I should rate this higher.

Clear 750ml from Press online. Mojito glass at home while awaiting yet another thunderstorm.
Quick soda sizzle. Clear, rich honey gold pour.
Oaky, floral nose, macerated/browned bittersweet apple; slightly stuffy.
Taste is carbonic, brown/earthy, bittersweet leaning off-dry, loads of leathery tannins, moderately herbal, wax, old lettuce.
Super crispy, juicy & thin. Moderate-low acid, lingering tannins & approachable tartness.
Crispier & less perceived sweetness compared to other keeved bottled I've tried. Well done.

Panda courtesy of SHIG, cheers Shawn! (and MicroGrog!) Clear orangey-amber coppery colour, some short-lived bubbles on top and aroma of apple, peaty, smoke, phenolic hints, oak barrel. Taste is sweet, appley, fleshy, booze, earthy, peat, oak, whiskey barrel, vanilla, with drying tannins and some smokey notes. Oily mouthfeel, full to medium bodied, low carbonation, dry tart & tannic finish with lingering booze & peat. Complex, very sippable.

375ml from Press online. Six months in the basement, shared with Shig. Jamie is starting to waver. Dark copper, clear, still pour. Obvious charred oak upfront. Peat? Bittersweet apples, some stinging acid in my nose. Taste is a little less then obviously smokey. BIttersweet & sharp apples, very thin, popsicle stick astringency with some earthy & veggie bitterness. Dry finish with a poke of white wine acid. Not much left on the follow-through. No tartness, paper thin, warming booze, a touch difficult. Solid experience but I didn't expect it to be this dry.

Clear 750ml from Press then Press online. Mojito glass at home. Clear, pale gold, not much head. Mellow saline & earth nose. Creamy & high acid, wine-y nose. High acid, thin, lemon, whiskey warmth, mild tea, communion wine, rice, lots of grass. Middling carb, extra thin, a touch winey-boozy. Not a super fan of singular hope in varietals. This is harsh & needs to be blended. Cheers.

500ml bottle from Press online. A bit of an OG in the west coast cider scene. What a dorky thing to say... Pint glass @home. Big soda head, quick to settle. Clear, dusty, medium gold, active. Fruity, earthy & round, buttery spiced nose. Bitter-sweet, leaning dry. Heavily tannic, moisture stripping, very earthy but with complimentary sharpness, white wine minerality, rosewater finish. Medium force carb, low acid, good texture. Halfway between English & American cider. Doesn't disappoint.
