Can 12fl.oz. @home poured into a shaker. Hazy pale amber colour, good frothy off-white head, half-way lasting, light lacing. Aroma sweet malts, rye, caramel, citric hops. Malty taste, medium sweet and bitter, rye, caramel, light grapefruit, pine resin. Full-bodied, oily texture, average carbonation, semi-dry sweetbitter aftertaste, spicy notes, solid malty backbone, earthy notes, rye, more a rye ale than an IPA, very nice.

(Can) very hazy, bright, pale yellow colour with a tall white head; aroma of pineapple, tropical fruit; dryish flavour with a medium long, light bitter finish; unimpressive

Tulip @DeepEllum. Deep, dark, clear brown, just a shade off black. Just call it cola. Cinnamon, hazelnut, clay, pepper nose. Savory & nutty Christmas spice. Sweet dark rum, cola, cola acidity, Dr Pepper spice, burnt nut bitterness, bittersweet down the line. Dusty with prickly carbonation. Solid to good.

Tulip @DeepEllum. Clear, oily medium gold, ring of lasting lace. Smells like a kettle sour. Batteries, lime juice & saltwater. Sour tea, odd earthiness, raisin, lime, brown sugar, pith, cardboard. Yeasty finish. I don't hate this. Thin, strong tartness but only middling acid. Another pass.

Goblet pour @DeepEllum. Clear, maple amber pour with a touch of lingering head. Cocoa & green pepper nose. Soapy upfront. It sort of lingers. Then there's some cocoa, then salt before the very mild roast comes in. Some bright citrus in there. Finish is mild, bittersweet earth. Am I drinking starsan? I still taste soap. Thin, chalky, good carb Pfft.

Tulip @DeepEllum. Cold backyard & the smell of run-off. Uniform hazy, honey gold. Smell is faint. Toast, saline, salad, earth. Prickly, mellow toast, yeasty, subtle acidity, good bit of salt, faint numbing bitterness, textured finish. Crispy. I'm less excited by every sip. Okay slosh.

12 oz. can from HEB in San Antonio, TX. Pours a hazy light yellow color with a bright white head and great retention. Lots of spotty lacing. Basic hoppy aroma. Hop-forward flavor with very light juicy notes. Strong hops but subdued bitterness. Medium body, carbonation, and bitterness. I would call this an IPA Lite, or a mellow pale ale.

Draught @ DFW. Sweet, caramely malty and piney with some resin and grass. Okay, quite generic west coast IPA.
