Draught @ DFW. Sweet, caramely malty and piney with some resin and grass. Okay, quite generic west coast IPA.

A juicy, west coast style beer it says. Not sure where this headed but I do know that this 12 oz can came out of the singles cooler at the nearby HEB supermarket. I have my ABGB tulip glass in place to catch the pour. A slightly opaque, medium gold body topped by a lacey, snow white top of fluffy foam. The scent is strong with hops with a some citrus showing up. And the taste is not bad, I do get the Mosaic bitterness, citrus, perhaps a touch of mango and malt. Slightly sweet and a bit more than that with bitterness. A decent brew in a well-trod style.

650ml bottle. Quasi black colour with average to huge, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Initially relatively weak but developing, roasty, chocolately, dark malty and slightly fruity aroma, notes of dark chocolate, some milk chocolate, cocoa, cherry, yeasty spicy overtones with a touch of marmite, BA overtones with hints of caramel, vanilla, Bourbon, some leather, whiffs of toasted almonds. Taste is sweet-ish fruity, roasty, chocolately, dark malty, slightly caramel malty, some BA support, notes of cherry, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, dark caramel, some vanilla, Bourbon; minimally warming, alcoholic finish. Slightly creamy and viscous texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously dry and minimally repellent palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Harmonious and homogeneous composition, maybe a tad too sweet, dangerously drinkable - good.
