Bottle from Beer Republic. 2015 release. Cloudy black, stable, beige head. Aroma of melting fondant, cappuccino, clove, burnt caramel, beef stock, prune, date, macadamia, whisky. Taste has sweetish date & prune over a sweet malt base of fondant, brown bread, nuts and 'raw' candi sugar; slight umami note. Earthy hoppy finish, bit spicy, roasted yet also sourish of coffee & cocoa bean (especially when warming up). Slight dash of warming whisky-like alcohol. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. It doesn't really reach or maintain that desired level of roastiness and robustness, but quite enjoyable anyway.

On tap pours out pale straw topped with a white head. Nose is light grain malts a little sweetness. Taste is more of the light grain bread and grass.

35cl Blik van Beer Republic. Amber kleur, witte kraag. Zoet, erg moutig, licht kruidig, caramel, hoppig, licht bloemig, hars, bitter. Medium tot volle body. Meer een vrij zoete American Barley Wine.

Lett tåkete gyllen med hvitt skum. Lukter karamell, aprikos. Smaker tørket frukt. Fersken og karamell.

35cl Blik van Beer Republic. Diepgouden, bijna oranje kleur, witte kraag. Oldskool IPA, harsig, mango en citrus, sinaasappelschil, fors bitter, wat dennen. Medium body. Lekker.

Had to recheck style from can after tasting. Caramelly malts, clear tequila, salty, lime, some hoppy fruitiness in the finish. Kinda fun.

Can, 0.355l. Aroma of caramel, tropical fruit and citrus. Pours clear amber color with medium sized soapy off-white head, good lacing and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts juicy tropical fruity and citrusy, following is caramelly, bready, herbal and slightly medicinal, mouthfeel is warm, while finish is heavy bitter. Can 35,5 cl. Pours a slightly hazy golden with a lacing, off-white head. Sweet, fruity nose. Fairly rich body sweet malty and fruity with a massive bitterness. One for the IBU lovers. 110122
