Canned. Mildly hazy goldeny orange colour with a small white head. Aroma is fruity, some honey and mild biscuity tones. Flavour is crystal malt sweetness, honey, ripe apples and some slight burnt sugary tones. Not that bitter.

Deep Ellum in the news lately. And not really in a way I like to hear. In any case glad to see a beer from them I have not had located at the nearest HEB in the singles selection. 12 oz can popped open and being lifted inside of an ABGB snifter. A medium dark gold body topped by an appropriate head of icy white foam. I smell plenty of hops, grass and a bit of citrus, no surprise in the style. The drink is nice in this day and time for an IPA. I am finding pine, yellow fruit, grain, a touch of hard candy and lots of bitterness. Tasty, renews my faith in good beers in general and DIPAs specifically.

A 12 oz can purchased from the shelves at the neighborhood HEB. Deep Ellum I respect, let us see how they take care of an IPA. From the cabinet I take out my Great Heights tulip glass, lift the tab on the can and tilt. I view an orange-yellow body finished with a heroic head of fluffy white foam, some lacing expected later. The smell is a decent combo of pine, yellow fruit and citrus. The drink, I say this sincerely, is nice, a throwback. Tons of hoppiness for this day and time, pine, citrus, a bit of apricot, toffee and malt. Glad I found this one.

12 oz. can from HEB, Boerne, TX. Pours a clear gold color with a white head and fair retention. A few spots of lacing. Bready malt aroma. Sweet and grainy malt flavor with a light citrus finish and only minor bready notes. Light body. Medium-light carbonation. Zero bitterness. Very easy drinking and refreshing. A good everyday beer.
