Bottle from Belgiuminabox. Pours a very very dark brown almost black colour with a large foamy beige head. Nice lacing. Aromas of dry dark fruits, caramel, toffee, molasses, bread, candi sugar and hints of banana and liquorice. Taste is all the same notes as the aroma with an added touch of chocolate and peppery spice. A little watery, light bodied, fairly oily smooth mouthfeel with a slightly dry finish. Pretty good dubbel.

Little cloudy orange blond beer, small creamy irregular off-white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: lots and lots of peaches, or maybe more like peach flavoured candy, som elychee, mango, citrus touch, wow! This is pretty unexpected, very nice! Way better than last year’s version! MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sweet, fruity, peach flavoured candy, some lychees, ripe sweet tropical fruits. Aftertaste: more sweet and fruity notes, som peach flavoured candy, a bit too artificial in a way, malty, nice one for a Corsendonk, though!

Fles thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een donkerbruin bier met een dun schuim. Het heeft een moutige wat zoete geur. De smaak is caramelachtig en rozijn.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - dark brown to black with orange chinks. Nose - orange zest and honey. Dates and figs. Taste - dates and sweet brown sugar almost demerara. Light leather note. Palate - rich and full bodied. Could be fresher. Overall - good, shame it's a little sweet.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - deep golden, almost amber. Nose - honey and strawberry jam. Taste - rhubarb jam or maybe apple jelly. Suggested is sugared almonds. On the finish, an orangey tang. Palate - medium bodied and tangy. Overall - the complexity builds. Good stuff.
