Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6

On tap at More - Villa Park, pours black with an amber tinge and a small tan head. Aroma has big bourbon barrels, light roast, burnt sugars, and molasses. Flavour is extremely syrupy, with intense caramel malt, syrup, boozy bourbon, and light perfumey notes. A bit harsh, too syrupy, and not the best integrated but reasonably done.

Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5

On tap at More - Villa Park, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma is rich, with big bourbon barrels, moderate roast, toffee, and brown sugar. Flavour is extremely sweet, syrupy, and yet rough due to the booze; theres a harsh roastiness to it, with molasses, and plenty of hot bourbon. Its not all that well-integrated. Fun experiment but this isnt that refined.

On tap at More - Villa Park, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma is dominated by the pecans, with a sturdy roasted malt base and a touch of burnt sugars. Flavour is rich and potent, with intense pecans, roasted malt, and dark sugars in wonderful cohesion. That pecan character is really captured well, with sturdy base malts and just enough sugars to complement. Excellent.

Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 4 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 4

On tap at More - Villa Park, pours black with an amber tinge and a small beige head. Aroma is pretty laid back, with very gentle roast and subtle earthy hops. Flavour is strangeI think theres diacetyl in here, which I dont usually pick up in a black IPAgentle roast and subtle hops cant save this. Ugh.

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5

On tap at More - Villa Park, pours an opaque peachy yellow with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of yuzu and green tea upfront, with gentle salt and lacto. Flavour is strange, bringing out salt, yuzu, and gentle green tea. Strange effect of the yuzu I dont think this ultimately works but its structurally well-made.

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 5 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 5.5

On tap at More - Villa Park, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma has gentle hops, sweet biscuity malt, and a touch of booze. Flavour is lightly sweet, with biscuity malt, grassy hops, and finishing gently sweet and messy. Not sure what they were going for mix of an IPL and a swill Euro strong lager? Whatever it is, not great.
