Description
Since 1870 our family, the Meens family, has been brewing its Alfa beers in the traditional way. Alfa Bier's brewing process is still the traditional brewing process. The recipe, the method of brewing and the raw materials have consciously never changed, because we do not compromise on the quality of our beer. Alfa is the only brewery in the Netherlands to have 100% pure spring water from an officially recognized source. That water from our own source determines the special, pure and full taste of our Alfa Beers.

Sampled from 0.5 l can from 'AH' (Sleeuwijk), best before March 2019. Clear, orangeish amber with a medium large, frothy, stable, white head. Sweetish, slightly sugary aroma of grains, sugar, some candied peach and hints of alcohol. Quite sweet, malty, slightly sugary and a bit fruity taste of grains, candied peach, honey, some straw and traces of vanilla, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy and a little boozy finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Not bad at all, actually well-drinkable and round, quite a surprise!
