Fruity and fresh weizener. Body of wheat of course, with nice notes of orange and citrus.

Bottled, BB 05/07/2014, large sample. Slightly hazy golden color, short frothy off-white head. Aroma has some dusty yeasty notes, grain, wheat, citrus, pate (leverpastei)?. Bit too carbonated. Bit sweet, bit bitter taste. It completely lacks the thickness of a good german hefeweizen. Finishes a bit thin. Strangely enough, I get more yeast esters from a belgian type yeast, than from a german hefeweizen yeast? Strange.

Bottle at the Fiddler, Den Haag. Poured a clear deep chesnut brown with a thin off white head. The aroma is of malt and caramel. The the flavour is medium bitter with yeast, roasted malt, toffee and caramel on the smooth and inoffensive palate. Rivals Wesmalle Dubbel IMO.

Bottle at The Fiddler, Den Haag. Poured a cloudy medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is yeasty with a little acidic citrus fruit. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with lots of alcohol liqourice and yeast on the surprisingly smooth palate. A super Dutch Tripel. One of the best in fact that has a high ABV where the alcohol doesn’t dominate.
