On tap at 4th Noord-Hollands Bierfestival. New beer by Texelse Bierbrouwerij, although very similar to their regular amber, this is brewed with a different recipe. Slightly hazy amber colour, white head. Aroma of some caramel, toasted malts, light fruity. Flavour is light sweet, light malty, caramel, light roasted malts, light fruity, light bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. Well, overall a light beer. Nothing spectacular.

Bottle. It’s a clear, a bit pale golden beer with a small off-white head. Spiced and grainy nose, some hops too, and promising a sugary flavor. The flavor is sweet and malty, pale malts that is, with some hops leaving a little bitterness. Medium body, quite warming. A decent beer, but nothing special. 090828

bottle, donated by bierkoning - thanks a lot! Hazy amber-brown colour with an orange glow, small off-white head. Aroma of caramel and orange peel. Medium-bodied, malty start with lots of caramel and a shy touch of cocoa powder. Towards the end shy fruity-bitter flavours blend in, bitter orange, orange peel and orange marmalade, probably due to the curacao peel added. A very interesting beer which I liked very much.
