Bottle at home. Clear, light brown pou wth a soft, creamy head. Sugary malt nose, hints of candi and caramel. The flavor isn’t exactly bland, but it isn’t very exciting, either. Bit of caramel, candi sugar, rich bread. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Faint warmth on the finish, mild sugar. Pretty drinkable but lacks cajones.

Towering light brownish-beige head over hazed amber beer. Banana! Bit of solvent, fusels. Very Weizen, less Bock. Banana! And again solvent, but also wood, dried than expected, alcohol and a little sweetness hiding behind fruity & spicy bitterness. Even a bit tart. Warming up, the sweetness increases substantially. Quite slick, like pressed fruit, near chewy. As said, more Weizen than Bock, but a good Weizen!

Tap at Draft House. Mostly clear amber with a filmy head. Sugary malts on the nose, with hints of candy and cardboard. Flavor has sharp cardboard, light caramel and Belgian yeast. Medium bodied with effervescent carbonation. Touches of fruity esters at the finish, bit of sugar, definite packing materials. A little below average.

Bottle at home. A gusher. Pours a hazy, brown-gold with a filmy, white head. Aroma has some dark sugar or Belgian candi, malts, hints of yeast, perhaps some apple. Flavor is pretty nice, rich candied sugars for sure, some yeasty dough, light spices, and a very delicate bitterness. Medium bodied with effervescent, mouth-filling carbonation. Finishes warm and sweet with caramel, golden raisins, very faint alcohol, and some nice, Belgian yeast. All in all a very acceptable beer.
