500ml bottle. Cloudy, chestnut colour with average to huge, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Slightly toasty and nutty, wheaty malty as well as slightly spicy, yeasty and minimally leafy, grassy, hoppy, even minimally smoky aroma, a touch of treacle, BBQ sauce and pear (Grafschafter Birnenschmaus]. Taste is sweet-ish, toasty, wheaty and caramel malty, minimally leafy hoppy and smoky, minimally nutty, again whiffs of Grafschafter Birnenschmaus. Minimally creamy, watery texture, smooth and soft palate, medium to fine, soft carbonation. Not towering, rather quite ordinary, but with interesting smoky and peary aspects - OK.
