Bottle from the Brewery. Fairly clear light golden color with a decent sized bubbly white head that dissipates slowly. Big fruity nose with plenty of earth and tart with just a touch of funk. Puckering lemony tartness up front melds into some apricot sweet fruitiness before some earth and funk ushers that away. Lingering lemony tart in the finish sticks thickly on the palette. Pretty damn good wild ale.

Draught at Atwoods, 9/16/16.
Moderately hazy, pale-golden with a fluffy, medium-sized white head atop showing good retention for the style.
Light lactic character in the nose seems heady and not overdone. Green, fruity, even herbal hop notes mix with moderate citrus and tons of dry, cream-of-wheat-like character behind it, balancing things nicely. No alcohol or flaw. Bright, crisp and well-balanced. Not just a noseful of lactic acid and salt.
Same in the mouth, with a wheat-heavy texture and still a dry, crisp, quenching finish with lactic acid, plentiful citrus and moderate bitterness from the hops. Perfect carbonation is tight and zippy. Sourness and light hop character build up on the finish, over the course of the glass, but at 4.5%, it never gets out of hand here.

Growler from the source. Pours a fairly clear deep yellow color with a decent sized but short lived bubbly white head. Lemony tart with bits of sour cherry and lots of melon and hints of over ripe sweet tropical fruit. Quite quaffable for a fruited Berliner.

Growler filled at the brewery a couple hours ago. Hazy deep yellow with a bubbly white head that fizzles quickly. Huge lemony citrus on the nose and in the flavor. Light earthy funk with a solid hit of resinous pine and citrus hop flavor. Mild sweet fruits like peach and papaya are the mix there somewhere. Really light refreshing body. Pretty damn good hoppy funky beer, I enjoyed it.

Reminds me of Fantome. One of the best Belgian farmhouse clones I have had! So clean. Lots of bubblegum and lemon drop. Coriander is hidden.

750 ml bottle. The beer is black with very dark brown edges. Small brown head, dissipates quickly. The aroma shows off sweet almond and light maple on top of heavy roast. There’s a light berry fruitiness. It’s an odd combination. The taste is intensely roasty. Harsh bitterness, particularly in the finish. Some light almond and chocolate sweetness up front. Kind of a washed out sweetness, though. Not terribly strong of a flavor. A little bit thin but there’s more body and smoothness than expected. Sorta interesting but not terribly enjoyable.

Growler filled at the brewery yesterday. Pours a hazy deep yellow with a decent bubbly white head that persists. Big grapefruit and citrus explode out of the glass as it being poured. Light pith resinous pine and faint crackery malt. Pink grapefruit dominates the flavor but has help from some light lemon and orange notes and faint pine. The sweet bready malt is nearly untasteable. Huge citrus juice explosion, nice beer!
