(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm, 10 June 2024) Copper colour with frothy, tan head. Malty nose with notes of bread, toast, apricots and earthy hops. Malty taste with bread, some caramel, toast, apricots and a balanced earthy bitterness in the finish. Light body, quite dry. Refreshing and highly drinkable. Nice one.

Another long day babysitting internal audit, but I wasn't needed had next to no meetings and it meant I got stuff done. So a celebratory half of this was in order to start things off. A proper traditional bitter, straight down the line and no messing. Hops and malt all in order. A certain biscuity sweetness was present and correct. And bags of flavour and mouthfeel for a really low abv. A classic example of how good English cask bitter can be.

Half of cask in the Spoons. I always love this place as the vibe (the old opera House) seems to stop the inevitable Spoons pub fights from starting. The beer is a good golden ale. Well balanced, pleasant mouthfeel and low abv alongside real drinkability. Solid. Now to enjoy the human zoo that is a Spoons. But while I look around me, impressed by the breadth and inherent oddness of humanity I ask one question. Do they look at me and think the same thing? Probably yes.

Cask gravity at Tonbridge Rugby Club Winter Festival 2024. Clear brown beer. Thin off white head. Some spice on aroma and flavour. Some malty bread character. Spice doesn't over ride the beer just gives it a subtle kick. Good malty beer. Good condition. Some sourness.

Cask handpull at Humphrey Bean JDW Tonbridge. Clear pale gold colour lasting white head. Easy drinking pale ale. Not much malt but enough to keep it together. Some nettle taste hop on the bitter finish. Decent condition and temperature. Yes I was happy enough with this. Touch of tea flavpur
