75 cL bottle, #1137. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is spiced, herbal and light phenolic. Mild malty. Medium dry, toasted malty, dry phenolic and light spiced. Bitter and light herbal. Smooth fruity, light floral and subtle sweetness. Bitter and floral finish.

Bottle @ The 4th Annual Fastelavns-Smagning Ulfborg, 2013. Pours hazy golden with a creamy egg white head. Vanilla, toffee, oak and yeast. Hops and fruit. Full bodied. Warmth. Bitter finish.

Bruce’s birthday tasting st the craft. Hazy orange thin white head. Spicy yeast easter nose some solvent. Good spicy flavour. Some yeast bite in the finish

33cl bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais. Gold colour with a slight haze. Lasting white head. Slight Belgian yeast aroma. It’s a drinkable enough Tripel not too exciting with a bit of puke on the finish. Yeah ok.

Draught at La Fine Mousse, Paris. Clear amber, rich head. Fruity nose with resinous hops. Mid sweet with above medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Fruity with some honey and caramel, herbal hops and growing resiny bitterness.

33cl bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais. Drunk from the bottle on the train home. Golden beer. Hoppy strong belgian blonde aroma. Yeast is definitely Belgian. Yes its hoppier than normal and has some American style sherberty hops. I wasnt convinced it was an ipa more a strong belgian due to the yeast character. However the more I had of it the more it became an ipa. Good but with that Belgian twang. Clean American hops pale malt and characterful yeast I dont think always make good bedfellows. Good but I dont think it hangs together
