Svart. Høyt luftig skum med litt farge. Daler sakte. Aroma av sjokolade & røkt torv. Silkemyk munnfølelse. Smaken rosiner & rom. Tørr avslutning. Kakao.

Bottle from Stanislaus Brewskovitch, Zwolle. Aroma is herbal with yeast, fairly soft peppery notes including black pepper, citrus, orange peel, touch of mint and soft wheaty malt. Moderate sweet and bitter flavour. Body is medium. Quite herbal but not to the extent of being too much, enjoyable herbal Saison.

Bottle from Stanislaus Brewskovitch, Zwolle. Aroma is fruity hops, juicy tropical fruits, citrus, grapefruit, orange, pale malt, with a touch of pine resin and light alcohol. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and medium bitter. Body is medium. Heavy but not that boozy, dangerously drinkable. Nice rich juicy fruits. An unexpected killer IIPA from Jopen.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is quite herbal and smoky with malt, heather, thyme, peated notes, bit fruity, and a hint of saison-ish yeast. Flavour is above moderate sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Interesting, nicely smoked, but a bit heavy on the herbs for my taste.

From tap at De Drie Dorstige Herten, Utrecht. Aroma is juicy tropical fruits, citrus, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, and soft malt with a slight touch of caramel. Has a bittersweet flavour with a medium body. Nicely soft and easy, quite fruity, great balance. A fine IIPA.

Bottle. Smoked malt aroma with rye, fruity herbal juniper, smoked bacon, ash, ripe fruits, touch of apricot, caramel. Flavour is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium to full. Pretty good with plenty of smoke, juniper and ripe fruits.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is wheat, sweetish apricot, peach, salt, citrus, and lemon. Flavour is mildly sour and salty with some sweetness. Body is medium. Nice use of apricot in a Gose.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is smoked rye malt, herbal juniper, wood, vinous notes of red wine, grain, ripe fruits, more wood and some alcohol. Flavour is sweet and moderate bitter. Body is medium to full. Fairly complex with plenty of barrel notes, though I’m gonna give the edge to the base beer.

Bottle from Biernavigatie. Aroma is fruity hops, dark malt, citrus, orange, tropical notes, chocolate, soft roast with a touch of pine and grass. Flavour is light sweet with a bitter finish. Body is medium. Very nice Black IPA.

Bottle from Biernavigatie. Aroma is hoppy with fruits, citrus, light wheaty malt, grassy hops. Flavour is light sweet and moderate to medium bitter. Body is light and watery. Good fruity hop aroma, flavour and body are lacking. Crisp and drinkable.
