Hazy straw colour. Tart, grainy nose with apple skins. Sour, herbal, and lightly spicy. Whatever this is doing, I think the footy, slightly autolyzed electrical cord note doesn’t work for me.

Pitch black coloured body with a nice dense tan head on top of a fully opaque body. Aroma of fresh hops (odd that its the first scent), chocolate, coffee and a faint nuttiness. Medium-bodied; Sharp metallic twang then opens up to a malty taste full of chocolate and coffee. Aftertaste clean and very refreshing - nothing harsh or bitter at all - a great finish. Overall, a good beer - definitely good for the style. Try this one if its available to you! I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Chevy Chase Wine & Liquors in Washington, D.C. on 02-June-2005 at Jon(R888710)’s.

22oz bottle, hopefully this means some of Cisco’s "issues" will be resolved. It pours a very hazy pale straw color with a small head into a copita glass. The beer is hazy enough that one cannot see through it. The aroma is coriander with some light lemon, similar flavor with a little less coriander, light wheat-y sour (I think this belongs there though). Its a fine wit, a bit too regular though.

Nice somewhat hazy blondish coloured body with an orange tint and a super-large off-white head. Aroma of pale malt, fresh high a.a. hops, peaches and some light yeast & caster sugar. Medium-bodied; Nice strong hop flavour up front with a good amount of pale malt and a pleasant fruity characteristic towards the end. Overall, a good beer - one of the best in the style i’ve had. Aside from being a bit over-carbonated, it was a nice beer to try! I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from a liquor shop in Haddonfield, New Jersey by Phil (haddon90) sampled on 25-December-2005.

Very hazy dark brown coloured body, very opaque with a super dense tan head that tops the beer so perfectly. Aroma of roasted malt, figs, stale hops, nuts and some toffee - not great but not horrible. Medium-bodied; Strong malty taste showing a good character with some hops and a good nuttiness that ends the beer. Alcohol is noticeable but not much overpowering. Aftertaste shows some lighter malt and a bit of the nuts. Overall, a decent beer - a bit odd for a holiday seasonal - but good to try. I sampled this one year old 75 cL bottle purchased from Chevy Chase Wine & Liquors in Washington, D.C. on 24-December-2005.

Bottle from Chevy Chase Liquors, Washington
The bottle was leaking a few drops during the flight, anyway the original carbonation was preserved, and in the end it doesn’t seem to have suffered it; but I let it settle only for one day.
It pours a hazy (later cloudy) amber color, with a big stiff head. It has some caramel flavor, medium body, some hop aroma, more hop flavor, little hop resins, in all a correct bitterness. Quite good.

Pours cloudy mahogany into a snifter. Sickly head. Oak and alcohol-soaked towels. Sharp and sour turning to a cloying alcohol burn. Not pleasant.

Bottle from Oak Tree Discount Wines & Spirits in South Plainfield, NJ. This brew is a hazy golden color with a very thick and fizzy white head that burns away steadily. Spiderwebs of lacing on the glass. Aroma of pine and perfumy hops, along with a bit of tart fruit. Medium-bodied with a good amount of carbonation. The flavor is floral and perfumed hops with notes of pine and light malt. The finish is moderately bitter hops with fruit in the background. The beer improves as it warms, however it never seems to fully come together.

A very well hopped stout. Heavily carbonated for the style, it exploded from the bottle. Black color. Flavor and aroma of heavily roasted malt with some coffee and chocolate. Average but good enough. No notable flaws.

Pours hazy gold into a tumbler. Bright white micro head with good retention recedes to skim surface. Mild citrus and spice aromas. Crisp and funky with a lasting, slightly watered spiced orange finish. Best I’ve had from Cisco so far.
