(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 31 Aug 2019) Hazy pale yellow colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with grapefruit and lemon peel. Fruity taste with notes of citrus, lemon peel, pineapple, grain and a mild citric bitterness. Medium body, dry. Tasty and refreshing. Quite nice.

Malty, fruity taste with notes of citrus, peaches, hay and a mild floral bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and refreshing. Quite enjoyable.

Very light haze on this reddish amber beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Light smooth palate, somewhat thin and fairly dry. Modest carbonation. Smooth malts, bitterish toffee offset by a modest creamy malt sweetness. Any red wine barrel is somewhat subsumed by the rum barrel. Soft booze and a dry finish. Mildly bitter linger. Dry, a little flat and a bit disappointing.

Keg at GBBF ‘19, day one, 06/08/19. Chestnut brown with a beige head. Nose is ripe dark fruits, bourbon nip, light spice, toffee, dark malts. Taste comprises tangy fruits, bitter sweet vibes, cocoa powder, earthy, light roast. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light boost. Ok easy sipping impy but lacks depth.

Bottle. Color: Black, thin light brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, sweetish rum and vanilla notes, bit boozy. Taste: Smooth mouthfeel, starting roasted malt, after some seconds the sweetish rum and Bourbon notes and boozy notes appear. Some vanilla. Hints of coffee.. Bittery and roasty, bit boozy finish. Base beer and barrels are nicely balanced. Quite nice.
