Great copper coloured body with a perfectly dense tan head. This is exactly what you’d want a autumn beer to look like! Aroma of fresh low a.a. hops, citrus, nuts, malt, toffee and some caramel. Medium-bodied; Strong nuttiness up front with some metal and blood tastes. Aftertaste shows some caramel and other sweetness, but hardly any character, malt or hops. Overall, a decent beer-I’m not sure why this is classified as an Alt, but it really doesn’t matter-this one doesn’t deliver. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased at Chevy Chase Wine & Liquors in Washington, D.C. on 19-December-2004.

Thanks to Willblake for this brew from Flying Fish! Oktoberfish has a nice deep copper color and a fine head of frothy off white foam on top. Malty aroma with a nutty touch to it. The flavor is sweet and has a rich nutty aftertaste that is enjoyably different. Not an Oktoberfest despite the name. Very nice and a good change of pace. Sorry, but I’ll have to pass on the Lederhosen though.

Clear amber coloured body with a thin off-white head. Aroma of brown sugar, pit fruits, malt and some caramel. Medium-bodied; Sweet taste up front with caramel and other burnt sugars present. Malt and some spices noticeable-but the finish is fairly light and fresh. Overall, a refreshing dubbel-more calm and subtle than most-but definately worth a try. I bought this twelve ounce bottle at Chevy Chase Wine & Spirits over Christmas and sampled it on 26-May-2004.

Mild spciy and yeasty nose, with some celery. Hazy gold robe. Big white upon serving, which collapses quickly. Good spicy notes, yeast, tartness, dryness and alcool in mouth. Not bad.

Crystal clear golden colour with a thin dense white head. Aroma of bananas, cloves, coriander seed, wheat and strong caster sugar. Medium to Full-bodied; Sweet flavour of fruity sweetness mixed with a spicey flavour. Aftertaste shows cloves, but not much sweetness. Overall, a decent beer-lacking many complexities. Worth trying-not the best for the season however! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Chevy Chase Wine & Spirits in Washington, D.C. on 29-December-2003.

Slightly hazy golden colour with a thin white head. Nice sweet aroma with hints of grass, mushrooms, hops and yeast. Light-bodied; Sweet taste with some mustyness and yeast characteristics. Aftertaste clean and mild, not much else! Overall, not too great, lacking in many qualities and below expectation. I bought this twelve ounce bottle from Chevy Chase Wine & Liquors in Washington, D.C. and sampled it on 19-December-2003.

Brown colour with a super thick dense light brown head. Sweet fresh fragrant malty aroma. Medium-bodied; Sweet taste of caramel, roasted malt and bananas. Bubble gum and tutti-frutti tastes line the palate. Overall, a decent beer-a bit different than the norm. Very nice to try this beer! I bought this twelve ounce bottle at Chevy Chase Wine & Liqour in Washington and sampled it on 30-November-2003.

Nice dark robe, opaque, with a nice chocolaty aroma. Full rich body, with some good chocolate moka finish, some of the bitterness coming more from the dark malt.

Amber ale with a nice caramel nose, and some citrus. Nice maltiness , but agian not very bitter, as the hops do not come out very well.

Great amber colour with a dense off-white head. Pleasant aroma, nice malt/hop balance, showing english hops and even a mild berry aroma. Medium-bodied; Initial flavour is fairly bland - but some malt, sweetness and hops are noticeable. Aftertaste somewhat spicey and then left mild. Overall, not a bad beer, not great nor true to the style! I got this twelve ounce bottle at Chevy Chase Wine & Liqour in Washington, D.C. and sampled it on 10-October-2003.
