Sampled on draft this beer poured a black color with a large foamy dark brown head that lingered and left excellent lacing. The aroma was roasty with anise, molasses and floral hops. The flavor was bitter and roasty with anise, smoke, coffee, floral hops, cocoa and moderate booziness. Long finish. Full bodied.

16 ounce can. Number one with a bullet. Hazy pale yellowish gold color. Bubbly beige head disapates quickly. Interesting stone fruit nose hints at yeast and sauerkraut. Tart yeasty malt flavor upfront. Strawberry and apricot flavors are present, but subdued. Unusual sauerkraut nuance in middle. Crisp dry finish. Lots of white floaties on second pour.

Draught @ City Hops (5/17/19). Hazy dark yellow with foamy light beige head, sharp mint-sage aroma, medium carbonation, medium bitter lemon, mint, sage, lavender taste, thin body, long finish. Very interesting brew; I had never thought of beer with sage.
