Can, undated, drunk 10/8/17.
Bronze-canteloupe, moderately haxy, with a white head fading away quickly.
Strong resin, peppery phenols and sharp esters lie behind dry pineapple, grapefruit, lime and light melon/mango. Biscuity, somewhat cereal-like maltiness provides little balance and more melon, twangy papaya, resin and sharp ester lie on the finish.
Thoroughly warming, bitter, resinous flavors of orange, lemon and light pledge, with twangy melon-papaya and bready malts. Really not much of any redeeming quality here. Lightly soft mouthfeel with low, moderately engaging carbonation.

16 oz. can. Pitch black appearance. Aroma and taste are a mirror image. Licorice, anise, but the mouthfeel and texture are correct. Too much black licorice for my own taste. Hints of vanilla and cream. But the body and smoothness I did enjoy.

NYC Beer Week Opening Bash: pours mostly clear light gold with white head. Aroma is lightly funky and yeasty. Earthy and mineralish taste. Light bitterness. Not my fave.

Draught @ The Ginger Man. Clear pale yellow with very small frothy whitish head, very faint orange peel aroma, medium carbonation, bitter grapefruit taste with faint alcohol undertones, thin body, long bitter finish. Decent, not great.

Can split at L42, thanks to Tipple, 26/09/17. Golden amber with a decent egg shell white covering. Nose is caramel, pine, spruce, grains, orange pith ...Old Skool waftings. Taste comprises caramel malts, orange pith, grapefruits, melon, light spice, toasted grains. Medium bodied plus, fine carbonation, semi drying close splattered with semi aggressive hop bitterness. Ok but veering towards a Middle of the road DIPA ... could have scored 3.4.

Pours a somewhat dark amber from a can, lots of floaties. Bit of a dank pine aroma, but with some citrus, similar flavor. Okay beer.

Can from brewery on 8/25, drunk 8/31/17.
Light-to-moderate haziness. Maize-golden with a small, modestly well-retained, white head.
Rather citric and piney up front, garnering unexcited first impressions. Biscuity, sparse, crackery malts behind it do not impede and it eventually, with some warming, allows some lush, dense, spicy, dank notes to emerge. No alcohol or flaw.
Very "thick" in texture with a dextrinous, chewy body that is nonetheless well-attenuated. Almost no honey-like sweetness, which would actually be beneficial to combat some of the slightly twangy, strongly citric hops. Again, it softens somewhat on the end with light pineapple-mango juiciness and spicy, dank character. Competent, if rather unexciting.

Can, undated but fresh, drunk 8/31/17.
Low haze, though not clear. Lemon-yellow juju candy color, bright and transluscent with a big, frothy, white head showing moderate retention.
Lactose-meets-lime pulp-like nose is weird but interesting. Lightly juicy and with soft cream-of-wheat suggestions, as well as a bit of lactic character on the end. No resin. It smells like lime sherbet or lime gelato. Something like that. Very zesty and with some softness and blandness behind it.
Less aggressive than the Mosaic version, unsurprisingly, given the hop. Lots of meyer lemon and juicy tangerine notes over a soft, chewy, light but lightly chewy texture. Light floral/light lactic finish with no alcohol or flaw. These are pretty delicate (as they need to be for 3%) and not overdone with anything. Quite impressed.

Very different from your average India like you got lost in the Caribbean trying to find it. Hops here are different swing of things. Mango and lots of flowers here. Gold pour. Bitter finish. Tap at Rattle n Hum.
