4 liter box from State Line. Pours a crystal clear golden color. Intensely spicy aroma with notes of cinnamon, apples and mild leather. The taste is spicy, floral, pears and apples. Faint vanilla and darker apples, along with hot cinnamon candy. Spicy finish. Very interesting cider and much more intense than the name implies.

Bomber from Whole Foods Market Charlottesville. Pours a hazy yellow-orange color with a bit of a head. Aroma of sweet, crisp apples with a bit of spice. The taste is dry apples, herbal notes, spice, almost a wood note. Medium bodied, high carbonation, crisp finish. Decent cider. P.S. Holy hell there’s a lot of sediment in this one! By the end of the bottle there’s more than a half inch at the bottom of the glass. Oh well, gotta get my fruit somehow.

On tap at Good Beer(10/19/11). 12oz-ish pour. Hazy, straw color. Crazy activity. Dominating bubblegum scent. A little acid, yeast, & skin. Taste is bubblegum, some curiously delicious tropical fruit, eating apples, & very grainy yeast. Barely tart. Soft, sugary sweetness. Pretty unique mix as far as ciders go.

Ingredients: ...Natural Apple Essence. Bottle from Charles St. Liquors in Mass. Swirled per directions. Hazy, very pale, gold body. Smells of pears, candy, & cooked grain. Fermented fruitiness. Tastes like white table wine. Lemon. Calcified texture. Faint, powdered sugar sweetness. Moderately high acidity, not much tartness. Carbonation is fleeting. Reviews seem to suggest that this one has a very short(or at least inconsistent) shelf life.

$5 bottle from New Beer. Ommegang chalice. Cloudy wheat color; still. Slightly smokey, apple jack, minerally, strudel scent. So much subtler then the Tennessee Whiskey edition. Pie/juice apples, yeast, faint hints of whiskey, bit stronger on straight vanilla. Moderate acidity, almost no tartness. It needed bolder apples, & the wit yeast didn’t do much for me either. The barrels notes were very nice, though I didn’t get much spiciness from them. Still, yeasty/itchy body, mild alcohol(for what it is). Only 130 calories & very mild. I would enjoy glugging this cold.

12 ounce bottle from the Utah State Store. Pours a very clear golden color with a small, almost no head. A huge very sweet apple and sugar nose. The flavor is rich sweet apples, very crisp, a bit of sugars and some lingering bitterness. Quite natural, good.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a white wine glass. Pours translucent golden top and bottom and light opaque brown in the center with very small white head that quickly dissapates completely. No lacing, syrupy texture, no carbonation, and molasses aroma. Taste is molasses, some pressed complex apple, hint of of alcohol, and finishes butterscotch. Tastes more like molasses than cider, pass. A little better once the sediment in bottom is included.
